I was born in China and have been in U.S. for five years. During my experience i find out the Chinese culture and American culture are very different, not only language but also custom, food ,dress, hotlidays and etc. In china, if girls hang out with guys there are always guys pay for everything but in America everyone pays their own bill. Chinese lucky number is 8 and unlucky number is 4 and 13 buy American lucky number is 7 and 13. In china, if one of the family memeber died the whole family have to eat vegetable for 49 days, no meet no seafood are allowed. If parents died sons can not get hair cut or shave for 1 month. Chinese barely eat Mcdonald, pizza hut or KFC because they consider them as drunk food but American eat fast food a lot because American's life are very busy, people are in a hurry all the time. When i was in China i have a lot time to relax but in America i feel like I'm a mechine, either work or school which make me feel very stressful. Ameica born children are very indepedent but Chinese children rely on parents a lot. Most of chinese guys live with parents even after marriage. Chinese wedding is also very different from western one. We will throw a big banquet at a resturant and invite all the relatives. Bride side needs to give bridegroom's family bunch of money as marriage portion, bridegroom side also needs to give bride side money to show sincerity. There are a lot of ceremonies before merriage but western's marriage is very romatic and simple. Couples get god's bless in church. When i mention church i think of religion. Most chinese are buddhism but Ameica is a immigrant country therefore too many religons in U.S.
